Event Description:

Join us for an introductory lunch and learn on California Assembly Bill 5, new state legislation which impacts worker status. This lunch and learn will cover the basics of what now defines workers as either employees or independent contractors.

She joined the United States Air Force and served as a medic for 4 years before joining the Oklahoma Air National Guard where she served 6 more years. During her time in Oklahoma she started her own small business pioneering the cultivation of culinary truffles and subsequently selling truffles to restaurants. She was named the Oklahoma State University Student Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 and invited to join the OSU Idea Hatchery, business incubator. She was awarded a grant from the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture for her efforts in researching crop diversification for the state. Her knowledge and experience in agriculture and as a small business owner, government grant recipient, and military veteran provide her with a solid background to assist her clients with business transactions, real estate and employment laws, and civil disputes.
