Healdsburg Farmers' Market Extends Saturday Market Through December 19th!

November 10, 2020
Previously scheduled to close November 28, the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market is extending the Saturday market into the first three weeks of December, closing on December 19th.

The virus has changed so much in the world this year, but fortunately our markets have been able to continue stronger than ever through their regular seasons. Vendors are happy to have a place to sell, as so many events have been cancelled, so each week the aisles are full. Our customers appreciate us for the same reason. With so few other places to socialize, shop and indulge in delicious treats, we’ve become a very popular place to spend Saturday morning. It’s for these reasons we’re extending the market dates for three extra weeks, closing right before Christmas. We’re also extending our hours to 12:30 (we usually close at noon), to catch those late risers on cold December mornings.

A few of the farms will be done for the season, so our produce section will not be as robust as it is during summer and fall, but there still will be several who’ll have winter crops, such as root and cruciferous veggies, potatoes, apples, pears, persimmons, pomegranates, citrus, dried fruit and nuts. Almost all of our current nonproduce vendors will be continuing on through the three weeks, including favorites like Quail and Condor Bakery, Anna’s Seafood, Valley Ford Cheese, Fruity Moto, Portico, Healdsburg Bagel, and many more. Some Tuesday vendors will be adding in as well, including Fleur Sauvage Chocolates and Extraordinary Blends vinegars and oils.

Also continuing will be our Fall/Holiday Craft Market, including up to 25 craft vendors selling handmade ceramics, jewelry, metal, glass, photography, woodwork, dried flowers, wearables and leatherwork.  Each week the group of artisans changes.

We aim to be a very safe shopping environment. Our vendors observe all recommended mask and social distancing regulations, the amount of customers in a booth is limited, the vendor handles the goods, and we have sanitizer and hand-washing options in several locations. We’re open rain or shine, unless extreme weather conditions would warrant closure. If there is any reason to cancel a market we’ll post it on Facebook and Instagram.

By shopping the market you’re supporting our local farmers, food producers and craftspeople, and you’re experiencing a way of shopping which has existed in our agriculture-centric town for forty-two years, making it one of the oldest in the state. Come find out why Healdsburg loves their farmers’ markets!
