Healdsburg Farmers' Marketing Opening Early

March 30, 2020

The 42nd annual Healdsburg Farmers’ Market opens early in 2020, on Saturday, April 18th. The City of Healdsburg invited the market to begin early this year, so that the Healdsburg community has open-air, low-risk access to fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables. Farmers’ markets are designated an “essential service” and remain open to serve the community. New procedures and rules to insure everyone’s health and safety will be in place:

Booths 10' apart
No Entertainment
No Seating
No Craft: "Essential Needs Only"
Hot Food to Go Only
No Sampling
Hand Washing Stations Set Up
Hand Sanitizer Station Set Up
Vendors are Asked to Wear Gloves
Vendors are Asked to Bag all Loose Produce
Vendors are Asked to Create Displays which Allow for Minimal or No Handling of Goods by Customer
Monitoring Lines and Crowds: 6' between people

Although the market won’t be a social gathering spot for awhile, it will still have what it has always had: an abundance of local farms selling produce and flowers, fresh seafood, meats, pastries and breads. Eggs and cheeses, chocolate, oil and vinegars, tamales, bagels, coffee, and prepared food are all part of the market experience.

By shopping the market you’re supporting local farmers, food producers and building a
resilient community for everyone.

Our Tuesday Market-on-the-Plaza was scheduled to open May 5th, but it’s being delayed
due to the Plaza being closed, so more information on that will be forthcoming.
