Name: The Hallowine Run
Date: October 31, 2020
Time: 7:30 AM - 12:45 PM PDT
Event Description:
The Hallowine Run (formerly Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon) originated in October of 2008 after Destination Races founder Matt Dockstader attended the world-renowned Marathon du Medoc in France. His vision was to create a wine harvest and Halloween themed race in one of America's most iconic wine regions – with the flair and flavor he witnessed at the Medoc event. Held annually on the last Saturday in October, the event has become a favorite on the national and local running scenes. Runners are treated to a beautiful course that runs past 25 wineries nestled within autumn-colored vineyards of the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys. Your reward is a post-race festival featuring wine tasting, local food offering, beer garden, live music, exhibits and product sampling, and the highly entertaining costume contest! The half marathon starts at Francis Ford Coppola Winery and finishes at the expansive Warm Springs Recreation Area below Lake Sonoma for the post-race festival. The 10K and 5K races start along the half marathon course and finish together with the half. A race entry includes shirt, plus wine festival and special Hallowine glass. Extra glasses and festival passes can be purchased for non-runners, and other activities are planned on race weekend, making it the ideal destination race for large groups, family and friends.
