Job Description: Sales & Marketing Manager

The Sales & Marketing Manager supports the execution of Stay Healdsburg’s destination marketing and sales initiatives. This junior-level position is responsible for assisting with day-to-day sales activities, marketing campaigns, partner engagement, and promotional efforts designed to attract leisure travelers, meetings, and small groups to the destination.
This role focuses on implementation and coordination, working closely with senior leadership, agency partners, and local stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered effectively, on time, and within budget.
1. Sales Support & Partner Engagement
- Support sales efforts targeting leisure travel, small meetings, and group business.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with local lodging partners, wineries, attractions, and tourism-related businesses.
- Help coordinate site visits, familiarization (FAM) trips, sales missions, and partner events.
- Maintain sales materials, presentations, and collateral for use by senior leadership and partners.
- Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns across digital, social media, and print platforms.
- Coordinate the development and distribution of destination marketing materials, including visitor guides, e-newsletters, and website content.
- Support content gathering (photos, partner updates, event information) from local stakeholders.
- Assist with social media scheduling, asset management, and campaign tracking.
- Assist with media hosting logistics, press materials, and editorial research.
- Support communication with PR agencies and help track media placements and coverage.
- Maintain media lists, image libraries, and reporting dashboards.
- Track sales leads, marketing initiatives, and performance metrics using CRM and reporting tools.
- Assist with budget tracking, invoices, and contract coordination.
- Prepare regular reports and summaries for senior leadership on campaign performance and partner activity.
- Represent Stay Healdsburg at select regional events and partner meetings as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Tourism, or a related field required.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
- Experience working with hotels, travel brands, or destination organizations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with digital tools including social media platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow into increased responsibility.
- Familiarity with tourism marketing tools such as CRMs, basic analytics, and industry reporting (e.g., STR exposure) is helpful but not required.
- Ability to travel periodically for regional meetings, site visits, and industry events (approximately 20–25% of the time).
