The oldest local hardware store invites customers & community to join festivities on August 19th
Healdsburg, CA – Garrett Ace Hardware, the oldest hardware store in Healdsburg and Windsor, is celebrating its 134th anniversary on Saturday, August 19, 2023. The family-owned and operated business invites customers and the community to join the anniversary festivities for special savings and goodies at its store in Healdsburg located at 1340 Healdsburg Avenue.
The local hardware store has been family owned and operated since its inception in 1889, and it has been a local staple and meeting spot for many in the community. The store has been passed down through three generations of the Mashcerini/Matteri family, who have expanded the business to include a wide range of hardware, paint, tools, lawn and garden, plumbing, electrical, and housewares items. The three generations include owner & CEO for over 35 years, Carole Mascherini, her son Rod Matteri, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and granddaughter Jordan Matteri who is the store’s Marketing Manager.
To celebrate its 134th anniversary and as a thank you to the community for its support over the years, Garrett Ace Hardware is offering a 15% discount on most store items to all shoppers on August 19th, along with refreshments/goodies including cake from Healdsburg’s Costeaux Bakery. Customers can also meet the warm and knowledgeable staff who have been serving the community for decades.
“We’re so proud to be a part of this community for 134 years, and it’s been an honor to serve the hardware, home, and garden needs of our neighbors,” said owner Carole Mashcerini. The store has served generations of families throughout the North Bay. “We thank our loyal customers for their ongoing support over the years. We recognize that August 19th isn’t for us – it is to show our appreciation to our community,” adds Rod Matteri, COO.
