After-School Art Lab: Sculpture and 3-D Art

Join HCA's After School Art Lab for fun and interactive art making experiences designed for young artists in 1st-5th grades! In ongoing 6-week sessions, students explore a variety of visual art media, techniques and concepts, and learn of diverse artists, artistic practices, and themes. Our small classes nurture curiosity and creativity. We encourage young artists to engage in hands-on projects, skill-based instruction and free choice options. Process is valued over the finished product. The desired outcome is self-expression as young artists connect, experiment and play through the creative process. Our artists/instructors are experienced art educators who will rotate based on the specific discipline being offered in any one of our 6-week sessions. Future sessions may include painting, mixed media, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, collage, mini mosaics, etc. Join us for a month of fun, interactive, and creative classes that will allow your child to explore their artistic side to their hearts content!
