Art Exhibit: Window into Wine Country

MARCH EXHIBIT: WINDOW INTO WINE COUNTRY EXHIBIT DATES: February 24 – March 30, 2025 RECEPTION: SATURDAY, MARCH 8, 2 – 4 PM Join Willow LaLand and Luba Stolper to celebrate the show and learn about their art and inspirations. Sonoma Wine Country artist, Willow LaLand, presents Window into Wine Country, a collection of Sonoma landscape paintings that capture the iconic beauty of this region. Scenes often include a sparkling glass of wine in the mix, as in ” Mayacamas Golf Course.” LaLand draws on her background as a winemaker to fully explore the many aspects of tending and nurturing the grapes to peak flavor, then picking, and ultimately turning them into a delectable wine. Glazing used in LaLand’s work produces a richness and depth, connecting the viewer to this land that produces a cornucopia or world-renowned varieties. Viewers note that LaLand’s vineyard landscapes are like adding a window to your living room. “I feel fortunate to live amidst such beauty – it is a joy to bring its stunning assets to the viewer through my art,” noted LaLand. A third-generation artist, LaLand was inculcated with art as a child and was exhibiting her art by her teens. She is inspired by early American realists, such as Frederick Peto, and uses techniques developed by 17th century painters to achieve dramatic realism. LaLand exhibits widely and is collected internationally. She was featured in American Art Collector magazine in 2013 and on KRCB television in 2015.
