Aaron Webb’s abstract artwork challenges and explores the in-between; the space where memory, emotion, and reflection intersect. Layers of liquids- inks, dyes, watercolor, saltwater and rum- collide on the canvas with the textures, scratches, and marred hidden messages distinctive of his work. Inspired by the silver gelatin photographs of his father and the profound experiences of his own life, Webb’s work transcends traditional boundaries and offers the viewer a journey through the universe he captures on each canvas. Sun-stricken and weathered by the elements, his work is not merely a visual experience, but an encounter that evokes the passage of time and the resilience of the heart. Each layer tells a story of its own, yet beckons the viewer to explore their own experience of what they know and who they are becoming.
