Time: 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM PST
Event Description:
Join Linus Lancaster in the Healdsburg High School ceramics studio in December for another in a series of monthly clay classes. Learn how to throw pottery on the wheel to form functional pieces such as cups, bowls, and plates. Through individual guidance and repetition, students will develop skills in throwing techniques. There are 5-6 pottery wheels in the room, so, everyone will have multiple turns. This class is limited to 10 students. In addition to the wheel, the focus will be on the hand-building techniques; pinch, coil, and slabs. Functional as well as sculptural applications will be explored. This class can accommodate beginning potters as well as those with previous throwing experience. Repeating students are encouraged to sign up.
