SuperSweetwater Bike Race

SuperSweetwater is where is all started. 22 years ago the first Grasshopper traveled from Occidental to Sweetwater Springs Rd. Then we rode River Rd and finished up Willow Creek. Since then we’ve “upped the anti” a bit and have thrown in Fort Ross and Meyers Grade for good measure. This year we’ll be rolling from the Mill District in Healdsburg. You will be treated to a classic Hopper route and lunch with Chef Matt Accarrino, Sierra Nevada beer and Duncan and Nathan pouring Arnot-Roberts wine. NOTE: For both routes the clock starts as we leave Healdsburg and ends atop Coleman Valley Rd. We’ll have snacks and drinks at the finish then you can have a social spin back to Healdsburg for lunch. If you wish to make your ride shorter you can leave a vehicle in Occidental, but that’t up to you. Option #1: SuperSweetwater w/Fort Ross-Coleman Valley 90 mi. 7,562 ft) Timed segment from Start to Finish is 65 miles.
