Event Description:
Our weekly summer concerts in the Healdsburg Plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. provide an eclectic and unique line-up of bands, and have been assembled to please a wide array of musical interests. Food vendors will be on-hand to offer locally sourced food for sale starting at 5pm, with the music beginning at 6pm. While enjoying Tuesdays in the Plaza, we ask that you follow our Concert Rules.

Arriving in the U.S. from Cuba in 1980, Diaz spent over a decade paying dues with Bay Area Afro-Cuban stalwarts Conjunto Cespedes before stepping out as a leader with piano great Omar Sosa in Oaktown Irawo, featuring Tower of Power drummer David Garibaldi. Diaz was a member of Garibaldi's influential percussion trio Talking Drums with fellow percussionist Michael Spiro, and has gone on to recordings and performances with Stevie Wonder, the Dave Matthews Band, Dizzy Gillespie, Steve Coleman, the Caribbean Jazz Project, Jane Bunnett, Mickey Hart's Planet Drum, and more.
